Nicholas is a noble, incredibly generous little soul who has been bringing joy to the forest for generations. Even with his expressive face gently worn and beautifully faded by time, his antique patina only deepens his storytelling charm—evoking the spirit of an ancient, wise woodland guardian. The Craftsmanship & Materials:
- The Figurine: An authentic, unaltered, character-rich mid-century ceramic pixie figurine, hand-selected for his beautifully weathered, timeless expression and noble sitting posture.
- The Setting: A vintage-inspired mercury glass mushroom canopy, heavily encrusted in genuine, imported German silver glass glitter. This premium glitter casts a brilliant, multi-faceted diamond shimmer that modern materials simply cannot replicate, developing a rich, historical patina over the decades.
- The Accents: Delicate mercury glass beads and a delicate blend of handmade and vintage metal flowers, each meticulously centered with a genuine vintage mercury glass bead. A stack of foil wrapped wood "gifts", decorated with vintage gift wrap ribbons and embossed foil "Dresden" die-cut trims.
- The Foundation: Built upon a rustic, natural wood slice base beautifully wrapped in vintage wallpaper.
The Build:
Affixing a completely rigid, unbendable mid-century ceramic figurine onto a rounded glass mushroom cap required a special technique that is nearly invisible. Nicholas, the packages, and the floral embellishments have been painstakingly joined to the mushroom cap using a hidden contact technique.
