Meet Buster: The Playful Pixie who loves to Surprise

The 10" Glitterwood Guild Grande Size — Item #6 (Signed 1-of-1 Original Art Assemblage)

Buster is a burst of pure, high-energy holiday joy. With wide, bright eyes and a big, open-mouthed expression, he looks exactly like a playful pixie who loves to surprise his woodland friends. Popping up eagerly from the forest floor to play a game of peek-a-boo and shout, "It's me!", Buster brings a delightful sense of wonder, pride, and festive mischief to the Guild. He is the ultimate character for anyone looking to add a lively, lighthearted spark of innocent celebration to their holiday mantle.

The Craftsmanship & Materials:
  • The Figurine: An unaltered, authentic, character-rich mid-century ceramic pixie figurine, hand-selected for his exceptionally lively, wide-eyed expression and joyful open smile.
  • The Canopy: A vintage-inspired mercury glass mushroom, the cap heavily encrusted in genuine, imported German silver glass glitter. This premium glitter casts a brilliant, multi-faceted diamond shimmer that modern materials simply cannot replicate, developing a rich, historical patina over the decades.
  • The Accents: Several mid-century bursts consisting of mercury glass baubles with foil fringe and more glass glitter.  Accented with a blend of handmade and vintage metal flowers, each centered with genuine vintage mercury glass beads.
  • The Foundation: Built upon a rustic, natural wood slice base beautifully wrapped in vintage wallpaper.
The Build:
Affixing a completely rigid, unbendable mid-century ceramic figurine onto a rounded glass mushroom cap required a special technique that is nearly invisible. Buster and the embellishments have been painstakingly joined to the mushroom cap using a hidden contact technique.

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: 10" Tall x 5". Fits beautifully on holiday mantles, tiered trays, or bookshelves.
  • Provenance: Hand-signed and numbered 1 of 1 by the artist. Includes an official archival-grade
  • Storage: Buster will arrive in a decorative yet sturdy box to keep him safe throughout the years. Since real silver will tarnish over time leaving a wonderful heirloom finish, we do recommend keeping him in the plastic covering he arrived in, inside the padded box in between seasons.
