Meet Thimble: The Happy, Shy Sweetheart

The 7" Glitterwood Guild Petite Size — Item #11 (Signed 1-of-1 Original Art Assemblage)

Thimble is the definition of quiet, endearing sweetness. Sitting bashfully atop his dusty pink glitter canopy, he holds his cheeks gently in his tiny hands, tilting his head with an incredibly sweet, bashful smile. He looks as though he is secretly blushing from a warm holiday compliment. Nestled in his soft tinsel trim, Bash brings a gentle, deeply affectionate charm and approachable warmth to the Guild—making him a truly precious companion for any cozy shelf or mantle display.

The Craftsmanship & Materials:
  • The Figurine: An unaltered, authentic, character-rich mid-century ceramic pixie figurine, hand-selected for his exceptionally sweet, bashful expression and hand-under-chin pose.
  • The Canopy: A vintage-inspired mercury glass mushroom canopy, heavily encrusted in genuine, imported German pink colored silver glass glitter. This premium glitter casts a brilliant, multi-faceted diamond shimmer that modern materials simply cannot replicate, developing a rich, historical patina over the decades.
  • The Accents: Handmade feathery flowers using real silver tinsel fringe encircling a  genuine vintage mercury glass bead, with more mercury glass beads scattered about.
  • The Foundation: Built upon a rustic, natural wood slice base beautifully covered in vintage wallpaper.
The Build:
Affixing a completely rigid, unbendable mid-century ceramic figurine onto a rounded glass mushroom cap required a special technique that is nearly invisible. Thimble and the silver tinsel & glass floral embellishments have been painstakingly joined to the mushroom cap using a hidden contact technique.

Specifications:
  • Dimensions: 7" Tall x 4". Fits beautifully on holiday mantles, tiered trays, or bookshelves.
  • Provenance: Hand-signed and numbered 1 of 1 by the artist. Includes an official archival-grade Glitterwood Guild Certificate detailing Bash's unique character profile.
  • Storage: Thimble will arrive in a decorative yet sturdy box to keep him safe throughout the years. Since real silver will tarnish over time leaving a wonderful heirloom finish, we do recommend keeping him in the plastic covering he arrived in, inside the padded box in between seasons.
