Meet Milo: The Deeply Contemplative Philosopher

The 7" Glitterwood Guild Petite Size — Item #10 (Signed 1-of-1 Original Art Assemblage)

Milo is a wise, quiet soul who brings a beautiful sense of peace and deep reflection to the forest. Propped up casually on one elbow with his leg kicked up behind him, he sits with a wonderfully thoughtful expression, his eyes looking downward as if pondering the ancient secrets of the enchanted woods. With his delicate features and gentle, introspective gaze, Milo anchors the Guild with a calm, grounding presence—making him a perfect companion for a quiet study, a cozy reading nook, or a peaceful mantle display.

The Craftsmanship & Materials:
  • The Figurine: An authentic, unaltered, character-rich mid-century ceramic pixie figurine, hand-selected for his deeply reflective facial features and relaxed, thoughtful posture. Milo is wearing a hand-me-down pointed hat that has been on many an adventure, and shows it.
  • The Canopy: A vintage-inspired mercury glass mushroom canopy, heavily encrusted in genuine, imported German silver glass glitter. This premium glitter casts a brilliant, multi-faceted diamond shimmer that modern materials simply cannot replicate, developing a rich, historical patina over the decades.
  • The Flora: Accented with a blend of handmade and vintage metal flowers, each meticulously centered with a genuine vintage mercury glass bead, with more mercury glass beads scattered about.
  • The Foundation: Built upon a rustic, natural wood slice base beautifully covered in vintage wallpaper.
The Build:
Affixing a completely rigid, unbendable mid-century ceramic figurine onto a rounded glass mushroom cap required a special technique that is nearly invisible. Milo and the floral embellishments have been painstakingly joined to the mushroom cap using a hidden contact technique.
Specifications:
  • Dimensions: 7" Tall x 4". Fits beautifully on holiday mantles, tiered trays, or bookshelves.
  • Provenance: Hand-signed and numbered 1 of 1 by the artist. Includes an official archival-grade Glitterwood Guild Certificate detailing Milo's unique character profile.
  • Storage: Milo will arrive in a decorative yet sturdy box to keep him safe throughout the years. Since real silver will tarnish over time leaving a wonderful heirloom finish, we do recommend keeping him in the plastic covering he arrived in, inside the padded box in between seasons.
